PYT's Take Cover

i-D's Septembet Cover pays homage to the amazing African America girl's that are current dominating the runways. Jourdan Dunn, who is our pick of the group, Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez & Arlenis Sosa play it cool in the issue intitled PYT's.

We do wish that Chanel and Arlenis had different looks on their faces. Jourdan and Sessilee are really showing them whose got real face.. Doesn't Jourdan even kind of have this black Lindsay Lohan-esq kind of smirk going on..? "Love's It"

THE Cover.

Cover's Cover's Cover's! The glossies battle it out for the most anticipated issue of the year, the yearly September Issue. While I would have loved to include a few other covers in this sneak peak, I am one of the fashion lovers who DETESTS celebrities being on the covers of fashion magazines. ( I know, I still included US Vogue and V Magazine covers, but that was a given, especially Lady Gaga) With fashion week just around the corner I couldn't help but feel the need to throw together all of the covers for this infamous month of Fashion.

Enjoy.

Natasha as Brigitte Bardot

My FAVORITE girl Natasha Poly, plays the infamous Brigitte Bardot in the recent issue French Vogue. The Blonde Bombshell brings a natural energy to the shoot while exuding pure sex appeal and is nothing short of STUNNING.

Gloria, Gloria.

Ok.. So I know I've been quoted as saying that I think Lara Stone is hideous.. But with her new dark locks I do feel that I see a beauty in her that I once dismissed. I know that she's huge, but something about her look was missing for me. When she was shot for a story that had a soft under tone, I just couldn't see it fitting properly, her look was HARSH and not my my tastes.

But with her new look her soft side shines through in "Gloria" a story shot by Mert & Marcus for Vogue Paris's September issue the shoot was styled by the fabulous editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld.

Look @ Me I'm Tanya D..

I ADORE Tanya Dziahileva.. She is one of my favorite faces on the runway as we speak.. The 17 year old stole my editorial heart when I first saw her hanging out with my friend Alex when he was in Paris.. I'm sure I'll be posting more of her amazing editorial's soon..

Dripping Wet..

VERSES

I really like the concept behind this editorial.. It's something I haven't seen before and I can really appreciate the transformation from the simple dresses, clean skin and pulled back hair to the final product..

Stephen Smith has taken this story somewhere new.. I wish I had the opportunity to work with photographers with a more clear vision even when the concept isn't something typically seen..

The $300Billion Dollar Lady in The September Issue.

With the New York premier happening as we speak, I couldnt help but make today's posting about the much awaited 'real life Devil Wear's Prada', The September Issue.
I can not wait to see this movie, Opening in New York on August 28th and in Los Angeles on September 11th.

I watched The Devil Wear's Prada ELEVEN times in theaters, and admit to buying two bootleg copies from Downtown and then the official DVD when it was released, and I'm not a movie person, I loved it that much. So my anxiety for the opening day of this film is even more insane.

I do wish, that the actual September of Vogue for this year had a better cover. Charlize Theron is looking a little lackluster and had a very unattractive look about her, I'm a little saddened by this choice. I do feel with the release of the movie that the cover should have been even more spectacular.

Thankfully, some of the issues editorials have been leaked and I can say that they are nothing short of fabulous. I will be posting some of them this week..

Is it done for Dunn?

Jourdan Dunn is pregnant, and I think its pathetic. Whether or not it'll have any impact on her sky rocketing career is still uncertain. The 2008 Model of The Year Winner couldn't have made a bigger mistake in regards to her career in my opinion. At the age of 19, its sad to see that she has become another walking statistic, runway walking or not.

I love Natasha Poly THIIIIS Much..

I made this JUST for the wall paper on my BlackBerry.. lol..

Every Other Page.. Anja Rubik is Front & Center Stage..

The girl on every other page right now is Anja Rubik. The Polish born model has taken flight straight towards the top of every Blue Chip clients, Must Book list and zipped up Models.com's list of the Top 50 working girls.

With legs for days the 5'11 glamazon has the ability to handle so many different looks, her agents have recently decided to take her to platinum blond with whited out eyebrows, giving her that very expensive and tres chic look all of the fashion house's go gaga for.

The 25 year old's list of clients reads like Anna Wintour's phone book.. Balmain, Chloé, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferrè, Dsquared2, Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Bottega Veneta & Estéè Lauder.. Just to name a few..

With the coveted number 1 spot locked down by Raquel Zimmermann and the 2nd held by my personal favorite, Natasha Poly, coming home with bronze doesn't seem to be as crushing as one would think. I love to see a girl who has been working for a while, take off almost over night, congratulations Anja!

The Guy With An Awesome Eye.. Dusan Reljin..

Dusan Reljin.. amazing visions with the camera, he's eye for beauty is unmistakable. From his angles to his play on light, he seems to capture the very essences in each and every frame, I'm a huge fan of black & whites, and his are some of my favorites.

Artistic and sensual, his style of photography is one that has received high praise from some of fashions power players and he has worked with some of the most in demand faces of the modeling industry.

Check out more of his work on his website at www.drstudios.com

Gucci Hoochie, My favorite Russian Takes Precedence

My favorite model (it's probably safe for me to say, of all time) Natasha Poly, shines front and center (or off set) in Gucci's new campaigns featuring other top names such as Freja Beha Erichsen, Myf Shepherd, Dree Hemingway, Anja Rubik, Jacquetta Wheeler, and Raquel Zimmermann.

Something about her look in these shots makes me take more notice to her than anyone else, from the somber, "The Ring-ish" look on her face to her amp'd up mega blonde locks, she seems to jump from the image screaming, M-O-N-E-Y. (notice her hands are planted firmly at her sides?)

With an EXCLUSIVE buy out offer from Gucci 2 years ago, its no wonder why the luxury house has pegged Natasha as the only face suited to move their goods.

Irkin for a Birkin..

Come on, seriously.. this one is an obvious, but for this week's "Want It Wednesday's" is a classic through and through, the Hermé's Birkin. I personally prefer the 50cm, but they make it from 20-50cm's..

I'm a full on animal lover, but.. I hate reptiles.. so with that in mind, I would LOVE to see a albino CROC Birkin, wouldn't that be the hottest thing ever.. Second to this particular bag, that's outfitted with crocodile-skin and silver hardware, 14-karat white gold closure plates paved with 174 diamonds and an additional 310 diamonds on the lock. The 484 diamonds weigh in at 14.11 carats.. with a $65,000 price tag..

A most MUST on everyone's "Want It' list..

I'm rad 4 Rad.. By Rad Hourani..

Rad Hourani has launched an awesome new line, often called a diffusion line, of 15 new unisex looks that come at a more affordable price point ($100-$400). Rad by Rad Hourani offers a sleek/chic look with clean lines and monotone colors (except for one pop piece, a rectangular cut coat, that came in red.)

I LOOOVVEE the white denim jeans with the zippers over the knees, they offer a second option for people who want a cleaner take on the current trend of of shredded denim. I would think it would be a simple DIY project as well, if you cant wait until late November to be able to purchase his awesome stuff. I will most definitely be amongst those waiting for things to become available via. www.radbyradhourani.com

The outfit below, I LOVE, I really really want it, in every colors available. Check out his ready to wear line, its most definitely worth the salivating.

Magdalena Mania..

Magdalena Frackowiak is one of the FEW models to top my own personal list of, Must Book Girls for the New York, Paris and Milan shows. Standing at 5'11 its easy to see how this runway goddess takes center stage. From her mile long legs to her to her seemingly precision cut cheek bones , Magdalena has got what it takes to make the Blue Chip bidders holler.

Signed with one of my favorite agencies, DNA, the 24 year old from Poland has sky rocketed to one of the coveted and most sought after spots as of the of the most in demand girls currently working the runway circuit.

I look forward to seeing her smash the runway in next seasons shows...

Gimme Givenchy!!

Givenchy toujours fait le plus fabuleux des accessoires, les chaussures sont incroyables pour l'automne 2009!

Givenchy shoes for Fall 2009 are FAB-U-LOUS. I LOVE the studded sandals, they'd look amazing with so many different outfits, from casual chic with an awesome pair of jeans, to an amazing cocktail dress, love shoes that can be paired with almost any type of outfit..

Shoes are always the first thing I notice on a girl, shoes, accessories, and then outfit haha. If I were a girl, I would base my outfits around my shoes. It's the best way to put together any ensemble.. Shoe design is the next thing that I plan to take on.. I can't wait to see how it goes..
